Sleek, cool, clean, sophisticated, functional, colorful, —those are apt words to describe this mid-century modern designed kitchen. The room illustrates a mix of natural and man-made materials. The perimeter cabinets are a gloss lacquer finish while the walnut island and matching veneer panels for the side wall add the warmth that is so needed in a sleek, clean and white kitchen. Quartz counter tops were fabricated with a waterfall edge in the island. The beautiful Carrara marble back splash is installed in a herringbone pattern with light gray grout to emphasize the lines. The back splash is very functional using floating shelves for the homeowner’s hand-blown glass collection, a stainless steel magnetic utensil holder and spice rack. Cork flooring and deep blue walls complete the look adding a depth of color to accent the rooms overall appeal. Small glass LED pendants were used to give the room a bright sunny feeling no matter the time of day. Another successful project and homeowner pleased with the end result! That's a wrap.
